Where the logo prints

Your logo prints to the left of your clinic's name, at the top of the page — on paper, and on the PDF you send by WhatsApp. It does not cost you a line of the prescription: the header is already as tall as the clinic name and the doctor line beneath it, so the medicines start exactly where they started before.

Five looks for your clinic name

Classic keeps the original size. Bold prints the clinic name larger, in teal, maroon, navy or black. Bold black exists for a reason worth knowing: colour prints grey on a black-and-white printer, so if that is the printer in your clinic, black is the one that stays sharp.

You see it before you print it

The panel at the top of Settings is not a picture of a letterhead. It is drawn by the same code that prints one, so it redraws as you type your clinic name and updates the moment your logo uploads. What you see there is what the patient is handed.

What the chemist's slip carries

When you dispense medicines at the clinic, the page tears off below your signature and that slip leaves with the patient. It stays plain on purpose — one line naming your clinic and its phone number, and nothing else. A receipt should not look like a second prescription.

Choosing an image

A PNG or JPEG under 10 MB. Pick it straight from your phone — a photo of your signboard works. Square or nearly square logos sit best beside the clinic name. Your registration number still prints at the top and again under where you sign; the logo does not replace anything.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Can I put my clinic's logo on a prescription in India?

Nothing in the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002 requires or forbids a clinic logo. What Regulation 1.4.1 does require is your registration number, on every prescription you give a patient — UpcharHub prints it at the top and again beneath your signature, whether or not you add a logo.

Will the colour print on a black-and-white printer?

No — colour prints as grey. That is why one of the five styles is Bold black: the clinic name still prints larger than Classic, and it stays sharp on a black-and-white printer.

Does the logo appear on the copy I send by WhatsApp?

Yes. The WhatsApp PDF is built from the same letterhead as the printed page, so the logo and the style you chose appear on both.

Can I change it later, or remove it?

Yes. Both the logo and the letterhead style live in Settings and can be changed or removed at any time. It takes effect on the next prescription you print — there is nothing to reprint and no box of pads to throw away.
